ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,508,097, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to WARSAW ORTHOPEDIC Inc. (Warsaw, Ind.).

"Set screw with strain gauges" was invented by Newton H. Metcalf (Memphis, Tenn.), Arjun Siby Kurian (Memphis, Tenn.), Nicholas Benson (Collierville, Tenn.) and Chris E. Johnson (Germantown, Tenn.).
