ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,335,716, issued on June 17, was assigned to Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. (Burbank, Calif.).
"Ultrasonic messaging in mixed reality" was invented by Ha Nguyen (Fullerton, Calif.) and Masatoshi Chang-Ogimoto (New York).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for receiving and processing sonic messaging by a mixed reality (xR) device from acoustic output of a media player playing content for a two-dimensional (2D) screen or projection surface, to coordinate the rendering and playing of an xR output in the xR device with the playing of the 2D content at the media player."
