ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,142, issued on June 10, was assigned to Wanner Engineering Inc. (Minneapolis).

"Diaphragm position control system" was invented by Richard Hembree (Port Coquitlam, Canada), Dustin Featherstone (Hastings, Minn.) and Scott C. Losey (Edina, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A diaphragm pump system includes a diaphragm pump and a pressure regulator. The diaphragm pump has a housing having a pumping chamber containing fluid to be pumped, and a transfer chamber adapted to contain hydraulic fluid.
