ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,471,972, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Wake Forest University Health Sciences (Winston-Salem, N.C.).

"Systems for treating and/or preventing fractures and related devices and methods" was invented by Philip Jayson Brown (Winston Salem, N.C.) and Brandon Lee Roller (Eugene, Ore.).
