ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,310,869, issued on May 27, was assigned to W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. (Newark, Del.).
"Steering wire attach for angulation" was invented by Karl R. Chung (Phoenix), Matthew S. Beard (Phoenix) and Martin J. Sector (Gilbert, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for example device delivery. The apparatuses, systems, and methods may include an actuation wire coupled to the expandable device at one or more locations thereon, the actuation wire being configured to steer the expandable device during delivery."
