ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,130, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. (Newark, Del.).
"Indwelling luminal devices" was invented by Edward H. Cully (Flagstaff, Ariz.), Jeffrey B. Duncan (Flagstaff, Ariz.), Matthew E. Maulding (Bellemont, Ariz.), Claudio Schonholz (Charleston, S.C.) and Benjamin M. Trapp (Flagstaff, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention comprises an indwelling medical device which is capable of delivering a therapeutic agent evenly along the length of the indwelling portion, including the outer wall, of the device."
The patent was filed on Feb. 1, 2023, under Application No. 18/104,507.
