ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,548, issued on July 15, was assigned to Volvo Truck Corp. (Gothenburg, Sweden).
"Control module for a vehicle" was invented by Manu Godefroy (La Bruguiere, France) and Sebastien Nallet (Venerieu, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A remote control module for a vehicle, the remote control module comprising a base comprising a housing for a nomadic device configured to provide access to and control at least one first functionality of the vehicle; a control device configured to control a second functionality of the vehicle; and a fastening device for fastening the base to a seat frame of the vehicle."
