ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,259,969, issued on March 25, was assigned to VMWare LLC (Palo Alto, Calif.).
"Detecting anomalies in distributed applications based on process data" was invented by Edo Yacov Dekel (Tel-Aviv, Israel), Haim Helman (San Jose, Calif.) and Yuval Rado (Ramat Gan, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Techniques for detecting anomalies in a distributed application based on process data are provided. This process data can include, e.g., the hierarchy (i.e., tree) of processes created and run by the application, the file system operations performed by each process, the network access operations performed by each process."
