ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,360,798, issued on July 15, was assigned to VMware LLC (Palo Alto, Calif.).

"Offloading packet processing programs from virtual machines to a hypervisor and efficiently executing the offloaded packet processing programs" was invented by Bo Chen (Beijing), Songtao Zheng (Beijing), Shu Wu (Beijing), Bingqing Shao (Beijing), Yi Liao (Beijing) and Danqi Sun (Beijing).
