ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,458,028, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Viridis BioDefense LLC (Dexter, Mo.).

"Methods and reactors for producing multiple disinfecting agents from oils" was invented by William Gene Ramsey (Warrenville, S.C.), Robert Michael Hust (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) and Stephen Agnew (Richland, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods for producing multiple disinfecting agents from oils, including waste oils, and reactors for producing multiple disinfecting agents from the oils."

The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2021, under Application No. 17/455,520.
