ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,252,619, issued on March 18, was assigned to Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties Inc. (Blacksburg, Va.).

"Additive manufacturing of aromatic thermoplastics from photocurable precursor salts" was invented by Daniel Rau (Blacksburg, Va.), Jana Herzberger (Blacksburg, Va.), Timothy Long (Blacksburg, Va.) and Christopher Williams (Blacksburg, Va.).
