ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,259,628, issued on March 25, was assigned to View Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Faster switching low-defect electrochromic windows" was invented by Robert T. Rozbicki (Saratoga, Calif.), Anshu A. Pradhan (Collierville, Tenn.), Sridhar Karthik Kailasam (Fremont, Calif.), Robin Friedman (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Gordon E. Jack (San Jose, Calif.) and Dane Thomas Gillaspie (Fremont, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Electrochromic devices with multi-layer conductors including one or more of a defect mitigation insulating layer, a color tuning layer and metal layer pair, and a transparent conductive oxide layer."
