US Patent Issued to Vidya Herbs on July 29 for "Chlorogenic acid composition for promoting a healthy body weight" (Indian Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,164, issued on July 29, was assigned to Vidya Herbs Inc. (Red Bank, N.J.).

"Chlorogenic acid composition for promoting a healthy body weight" was invented by Kodimule Shyam Prasad (Bangalore, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition of chlorogenic acids and method of its use and manufacture in the treatment of metabolic disorders. The composition can be obtained from sunflower seed extract, including Helianthus annulus seeds."

The patent was filed on July 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/225,003.
