According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An anchor assembly for riser pipes uses a plate and sleeve to support a stub pipe which penetrates a floor of a structure, such as a building, in which the riser is located. Studs extending from the plate and the sleeve engage the floor and enhance the local structural strength of the floor.
