ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,300, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to VICTAULIC COMPANY (Easton, Pa.).
"Dry sprinkler" was invented by Richard A. Bucher (Jaimson, Pa.), Frank J. Cygler (Nazareth, Pa.), William J. Reilly (Langhorne, Pa.), Yi Liu (Dalian, China) and Lawrence W. Thau Jr. (Flemington, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dry sprinkler is provided that includes a conduit with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a valve positioned near the fluid inlet and a fire sprinkler head that is positioned near the fluid outlet.
