ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,218,710, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to Viavi Solutions Inc. (Chandler, Ariz.).

"Per-channel modulation error ratio (MER) calibration and determination on a multi channel receiver" was invented by Loren R. Eggert (Indianapolis) and Daniel K. Chappell (Greenwood, Ind.).
