US Patent Issued to VIASAT on Feb. 10 for "Reducing network bandwidth consumption of real-time broadcasts using generically encoded media objects" (California, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,549,791, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to VIASAT INC. (Carlsbad, Calif.).

"Reducing network bandwidth consumption of real-time broadcasts using generically encoded media objects" was invented by Daniel M. Newman (Littleton, Mass.) and Mark D. Dankberg (Encinitas, Calif.).
