US Patent Issued to VGP IPCO on April 22 for "Structured assembly lubricant" (Kentucky Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,276, issued on April 22, was assigned to VGP IPCO LLC (Lexington, Ky.).

"Structured assembly lubricant" was invented by Jacob Bonta (Berea, Ky.), James Brown (Lexington, Ky.) and Lucas Tomko (Lexington, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A two-phase structured lubricant includes a liquid component about 5% by weight (wt. %) to 95 wt. %, and a structural component about 5 wt. % to 95 wt. %. The structural component recrystallizes or solidifies around the liquid component."

The patent was filed on Aug. 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/364,831.
