ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,332,154, issued on June 17, was assigned to Ventana Medical Systems Inc. (Tucson, Ariz.).

"Automated specimen processing systems and methods" was invented by Timothy James Durrant (Camberwell, Australia), Matthew Ketterer (Oro Valley, Ariz.), Michael Schurig (Tucson, Ariz.), Jorge Nicholas Quijada (Oro Valley, Ariz.) and John Douglas Willems Jr. (Tucson, Ariz.).
