ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,380,785, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Vanguard Products Group Inc. (Oldsmar, Fla.).

"Anti-theft device for electronic merchandise utilizing wireless verification" was invented by Christopher A. Kelsch (Palm Harbor, Fla.), Francesc Agustin (Clearwater, Fla.), Lee Eckert (Sarasota, Fla.), Wade Zhu (Land O' Lakes, Fla.), William Claude Chazotte (Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.) and Robert Ekle (Land O' Lakes, Fla.).
