US Patent Issued to US VALVE on Sept. 23 for "Internally installed check valve" (Maryland Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,422,051, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to US VALVE Corp. (Linthicum Heights, Md.).

"Internally installed check valve" was invented by Christopher Keeling (Severn, Md.) and Matthew Preston Bowland (Nottingham, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A closure mechanism for a check valve comprises a closure-mechanism body oriented transversely within the valve's flow passage. The mechanism includes first and second plate members supporting seal members for engaging the flow passage.
