ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,960, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to UOP LLC (Rosemont, Ill.).

"Process for regenerating catalyst from a fluidized catalytic process" was invented by Jan De Ren (Bracknell, Great Britain), Sakthivelan Maadasamy Durai (Gurugram, India) and Rakshit Mehta (Kolkata, India).

The process comprises passing a CO2 oxidation stream to a regenerator in which coke is combusted from catalyst to provide a CO2 rich flue gas stream.
