ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,208,164, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to UNM Rainforest Innovations (Albuquerque, N.M.).

"Modular metal-organic polyhedra superassembly compositions" was invented by C. Jeffrey Brinker (Albuquerque, N.M.), Jimin Guo (Albuquerque, N.M.) and Wei Zhu (Albuquerque, N.M.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method to prepare a population of metal-organic polyhedra (MOP) supported micelle nanoparticles (NPs), and a composition comprising MOP supported micelle NPs, are provided."

The patent was filed on Feb. 27, 2020, under Application No. 17/434,363.
