ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,394,874, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to UNM Rainforest Innovations (Albuquerque, N.M.).

"Stretchable liquid metal coaxial phase shifter" was invented by David M. Hensley (Albuquerque, N.M.), Christos G. Christodoulou (Albuquerque, N.M.) and Nathan Jackson (Albuquerque, N.M.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stretchable liquid metal coaxial phase shifter comprising opposingly located attachment disks which are attached to opposingly located shield interface rings which are open ended cylinders defining an interior space and exterior surface."

The patent was filed on Aug. 26, 2022, under Application No. 17/897,093.
