ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,466,859, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON THROUGH ITS CENTER FOR COMMERCIALIZATION (Seattle).

"Desmoglein 2 (DSG2) binding proteins and uses therefor" was invented by Andre Lieber (Seattle) and Hongjie Wang (Seattle).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are recombinant adenoviral compositions and methods for their use in treating disorders associated with epithelial tissues."
