ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,243, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME DU LAC (South Bend, Ind.) and Purdue Research Foundation (West Lafayette, Ind.).

"Block polymer composite membranes" was invented by Yizhou Zhang (South Bend, Ind.), William A. Phillip (South Bend, Ind.), Matthew J. Webber (South Bend, Ind.) and Bryan W. Boudouris (West Lafayette, Ind.).
