ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,467,063, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to University of Massachusetts (Westborough, Mass.).

"Recombinant AAV vectors useful for reducing immunity against transgene products" was invented by Guangping Gao (Worcester, Mass.), Phillip D. Zamore (Worcester, Mass.) and Shaoyong Li (Worcester, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure in some aspects, relates to nucleic acids, compositions and kits useful for gene therapy with reduced immune response to transgene products."
