ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,216, issued on June 17, was assigned to University of Florida Research Foundation Inc. (Gainesville, Fla.).

"System and method for closed-loop active sensing and protection against airborne pathogens" was invented by Naren Vikram Raj Masna (Gainesville, Fla.), Swarup Bhunia (Gainesville, Fla.), Soumyajit Mandal (Gainesville, Fla.), Anamika Bhuniaroy (Gainesville, Fla.) and Rohan Reddy Kalavakonda (Gainesville, Fla.).
