ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,466,877, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to University of Connecticut (Farmington, Conn.).
"Metallothionein antibodies and their use" was invented by Michael Lynes (Farmington, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are isolated anti-metallothionein antibodies, or fragments thereof, and their use in treating intestinal inflammation, diabetes, pre-diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance, hepatitis, and/or inflammatory liver disease."
The patent was filed on July 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/625,476.
