ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. PP36,718, issued on June 3, was assigned to University of Connecticut (Farmington, Conn.).
"Euonymus plant named 'EcoFire'" was invented by Yi Li (Farmington, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct Euonymus cultivar named 'EcoFire' which is characterized by a combination of its complete sterility and compact growth habit."
The patent was filed on Sept. 17, 2024, under Application No. 18/887,070.
