ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,183, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to University Health Network.
"Mature cardiomyocyte compositions" was invented by Michael Alan Laflamme (Toronto) and Wahiba Dhahri (Toronto).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are methods for large-scale in vitro maturation of cardiomyocytes derived from human pluripotent stem cells, compositions prepared by these methods, and use of these compositions in cardiac regeneration."
The patent was filed on Dec. 3, 2019, under Application No. 16/701,734.
