ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,124, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to UNIVERSAL SEQUENCING TECHNOLOGY Corp. (Canton, Mass.).

"System for sequencing biopolymers" was invented by Ming Lei (Sharon, Mass.) and Peiming Zhang (Gilbert, Ariz.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention provides a system and related devices, methods, and molecular modules for electronically sequencing biopolymers."
