ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,452, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).
"Organic electroluminescent devices" was invented by Michael Hack (Carmel, Calif.), Michael Stuart Weaver (Princeton, N.J.), Nicholas J. Thompson (New Hope, Pa.) and Vadim Adamovich (Yardley, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Full-color pixel arrangements for use in devices such as OLED displays are provided, in which multiple sub-pixels are configured to emit different colors of light, with each sub-pixel having a different optical path length than some or all of the other sub-pixels within the pixel."
