ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,955, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).
"Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" was invented by Chuanjun Xia (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Lichang Zeng (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Walter Yeager (Yardley, Pa.) and Zhiqiang Ji (Hillsborough, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Novel compounds that contain azadibenzofuran, azadibenzothiophene, and azadibenzoselenophene with fused rings that can be used as a host material in phosphorescent OLEDs are disclosed."
The patent was filed on Aug. 9, 2021, under Application No. 17/397,373.
