ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,466,844, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).

"Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" was invented by Hsiao-Fan Chen (Lawrence Township, N.J.), Tyler Fleetham (Newtown, Pa.), Rasha Hamze (Philadelphia) and Scott Beers (Flemington, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are organoboron compounds. Also provided are formulations comprising these organoboron compounds. Further provided are OLEDs and related consumer products that utilize these organoboron compounds."

The patent was filed on May 3, 2021, under Application No. 17/246,885.
