US Patent Issued to Universal Display on May 13 for "Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" (New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,302,750, issued on May 13, was assigned to Universal Display Corp. (Ewing, N.J.).

"Organic electroluminescent materials and devices" was invented by Chuanjun Xia (Ewing, N.J.) and Chun Lin (Ewing, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to novel light-emitting materials. These materials comprise a side chain that includes a fully deuterated or partially deuterated alkyl chain. This new side chain could improve device lifetime compared to nondeuterated side chains."

The patent was filed on Nov. 1, 2023, under Application No. 18/499,614.
