ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,519, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Universal City Studios LLC (Universal City, Calif.).

"Theremin-based tracking and triggering" was invented by Thomas Owen Williams (Orlando, Fla.), Brandon David Burnette (Bethlehem, Pa.) and Patrick John Goergen (Orlando, Fla.).
