ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,734, issued on March 18, was assigned to United States Postal Service (Washington).
"Integrated on-demand placarding" was invented by Robert Charles Moran (Crofton, Md.) and Marlon Guy Wells (Fort Washington, Md.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure relates to systems and methods of integrated on-demand labeling of item containers. In particular, this disclosure relates systems and methods for automatically creating and using placards to label, track, and organize item containers and items."
The patent was filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under Application No. 18/391,444.
