ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,345,044, issued on July 1, was assigned to United States Gypsum Co. (Chicago).
"Composite structure including a structural panel and a metal support" was invented by Frank Pospisil (Oak Park, Ill.), Yelena Straight (Libertyville, Ill.), James M. Ullett (Libertyville, Canada) and Kumar Natesaiyer (Grayslake, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composite structure for a building that includes at least one structural panel and at least one metal corrugated panel, where the at least one structural panel is secured to said at least one metal corrugated panel."
