ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,432, issued on July 1, was assigned to UNITED ARAB EMIRATES UNIVERSITY (Al Ain, United Arab Emirates).
"Encapsulated probiotic" was invented by Basim Abu-Jdayil (Al Ain, United Arab Emirates), Mutamed Ayyash (Al Ain, United Arab Emirates) and Asmaa Samir Alhamayda (Al Ain, United Arab Emirates).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An encapsulated probiotic is provided. The encapsulated probiotic includes one or more beneficial bacteria encapsulated in a capsule comprising ground date seeds (pits) and sodium alginate."
The patent was filed on July 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/219,623.
