ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,365, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to UNIOGEN OY (Turku, Finland).

"Luminescent lanthanide(III) chelates" was invented by Qi Wang (Kaarina, Finland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are novel lanthanide(III) chelates including a pyridine 4-ethynylpyrazine subunit. These chelates have an excitation wavelength which allows excitation with UV LED."

The patent was filed on Nov. 3, 2020, under Application No. 17/784,035.
