US Patent Issued to UIF (UNIVERSITY INDUSTRY FOUNDATION), YONSEI UNIVERSITY on May 13 for "Modified zinc oxide nanocomposite, antibiotic composition comprising the same, and combination preparation with the same" (South Korean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,024, issued on May 13, was assigned to UIF (UNIVERSITY INDUSTRY FOUNDATION), YONSEI UNIVERSITY (Seoul, South Korea).

"Modified zinc oxide nanocomposite, antibiotic composition comprising the same, and combination preparation with the same" was invented by Yong Shin (Seoul, South Korea) and Huifang Liu (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A zinc oxide nanocomposition is modified with a homobifunctional imidoester compound and an antibiotic composition contains the zinc oxide nanocomposition as an active ingredient.
