ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,250,871, issued on March 11, was assigned to UDC IRELAND Ltd. (Dublin).
"Metal complexes" was invented by Philipp Stoessel (Frankfurt am Main, Germany), Falk May (Mainz, Germany), Armin Auch (Darmstadt, Germany) and Charlotte Walter (Darmstadt, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to metal complexes and electronic devices, in particular organic electroluminescent devices, containing said metal complexes."
The patent was filed on April 14, 2020, under Application No. 17/603,704.
