ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,788, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to U.S. Silica Co. (Katy, Texas).

"Cristobalite as a pigment substitute and as a composition enhancing mineral, compositions containing the same, and articles and coatings prepared with such compositions" was invented by Dale Addison Grove (Hagerstown, Md.), Christopher Anderson (Granville, Ohio), Alain Lambert (Thetford Mines, Canada) and Qun Wang (Reno, Nev.).
