ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,437,947, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Tyco Electronics (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (Shanghai) and Tyco Electronics Technology (SIP) Ltd. (Suzhou, China).

"Contactor arrangement for extinguishing an electric arc" was invented by Hongjiang (Summer) Dong (Suzhou, China), Yong Jia (Shanghai) and Qiaoxu Pan (Suzhou, China).
