ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,294,676, issued on May 6, was assigned to Twilio Inc. (San Francisco).

"Pipeline flow management for calls" was invented by Christer Jan Erik Fahlgren (San Francisco) and Umair Akeel (San Ramon, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and system provide for receiving the first request to generate a pipeline flow, identifying a user account based on the first request, associating the pipeline flow with the user account, receiving a second request to process an action associated with the user account, and processing the action including applying the pipeline flow to select the component configuration based on the parameter."
