According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cutting tool with a simple configuration is provided which can cause a fluid to reliably hit a cutting edge. The cutting tool includes a holder, a cutting insert having a cutting edge and mounted on the holder, and an ejecting portion which ejects a fluid from several ejection ports toward the cutting edge. The ejection ports eject the fluid toward a region including the cutting edge and extending in a predetermined direction."
