ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,511, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to TT Technologies Inc. (Aurora, Ill.).

"Drill stem greasing device and method" was invented by John A. Olander (Clayton, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A drill stem grease injector for a directional drill and associated methods are disclosed. Example drill stem grease injectors include a piston within an injection chamber, and a grease port in a side of the injection chamber, wherein grease port is configured to actuate before motion of the piston during an injection operation. Drill stem grease systems shown provide refill capabilities that reduce or eliminate a user's need to touch grease."...
