ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,442,732, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Trustees of Tufts College (Medford, Mass.).
"Organoids and methods of making and using the same" was invented by David L. Kaplan (Concord, Mass.) and Rachael N. Parker (Medford, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compositions and methods for improved histological analysis of organoids are disclosed. The compositions and methods include silk-elastin-like polymers have temperature-induced shape change properties."
The patent was filed on April 22, 2021, under Application No. 17/302,069.
