ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,818, issued on June 10, was assigned to Trustees of Boston University.
"Generation of alveolar epithelial type 1 (AT1) cells" was invented by Claire Burgess (Boston) and Darrell Kotton (Newton, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The technology described herein is directed to methods of producing or differentiating AT1 cells, and AT1 cells made by the methods described herein."
The patent was filed on Dec. 15, 2023, under Application No. 18/541,448.
